Addison & Gates® was founded in 2015 with a simple mission – to create the highest quality skincare products using only natural ingredients. As a small family-owned business, we are committed to making healthy and effective products that nourish and care for your skin.

Our story begins with our founder, Addison Gates, who suffered from extremely dry and irritated hands. After trying countless mainstream lotions and creams with no relief, Addison began creating her own natural formulations using ingredients she researched and sourced herself. Her homemade creams were incredibly effective and left her hands smooth and moisturized. Family and friends who tried her products were amazed at the results and encouraged Addison to start selling them. That inspired her to launch Addison & Gates® and share her nourishing skincare creations.

Our Story

Addison & Gates® was born out of Founder Addison Gates’ personal experience struggling with dry, irritated skin. After discovering the power of natural skincare, her homemade creams and lotions quickly gained a following among friends and family.

Based on their rave reviews, Addison realized the potent impact botanicals could have on skin health. She was passionate to help others struggling with skin ailments find relief through nourishing plant ingredients.

In 2015, Addison officially launched Addison & Gates® with an initial line of hand creams and body butters. Her business was bootstrapped in her home kitchen, where she handmade every product from scratch.

As demand grew, Addison brought on her sister Emma, her first employee. They rented a small space to begin production. Word continued to spread about the amazing results people saw from the products.

Over the next few years, the product line expanded to include hand soaps, scrubs, lotions and more. Addison & Emma brought on a small staff to aid production as orders increased. But every product has always stayed true to Addison’s original homegrown formulas and standards.

Now with over 40 all-natural products, Addison & Gates® has become a leading name in handcrafted, botanical skincare. But we remain committed to our homemade roots. Every batch is meticulously made by hand, using time-honored techniques.

Addison oversees sourcing and development with an unwavering dedication to quality. Emma manages production and operations. And our amazing staff help handmake each product while maintaining our homegrown care.
